FANUC Robot Programming

Timeline: 2 Weeks

 

I learned how to use a FANUC LR Mate 200iD robot and program it with the FANUC teach pendant. I learned how to do some of the basics like homing and tooling setup, as well as simple controls in tool, world, and user defined coordinate systems. I also worked a little bit with end of arm tooling, 3D printing various manipulators for different use cases.

The projects associated with this taught me a lot about how robots are used and controlled in industry, especially on assembly lines and manufacturing work cells. Learning teach pendant programming was a challenge coming from a text based coding background, but it made working with various input/output modules significantly easier and it helped me understand robot control more thoroughly.
