2 Degree of Freedom Light Tracker
It may not look like much, but as a sophomore in high school, this project was monumental for me. The controls were as easy as they come, the electrical system was similarly basic, and the overall design left much to be desired, but that didn't matter much to me. This was my first real project that had more than just design aspects. Before this I never used an arduino to do anything more than make an LED blink. This was my first jump up the engineering learning curve and it cemented my desire to go into robotics as opposed to purely mechanical engineering.
